Mockify (“Mockify”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) provides AI-generated mock tests and related learning features through mockify.tech. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, how we share it with service providers, and the choices available to you.

1. Information We Collect

Account and contact information

When you register through email, we may collect your name and email address. Email verification and password-related security data may also be stored to operate your account securely.

Google sign-in information

If you choose “Continue with Google”, Google may provide information associated with your Google account, such as your name, email address and Google account identifier, as permitted by the authorization flow. We use this information to create or authenticate your Mockify account and do not receive your Google password.

Mock-test and learning data

We store the topics you submit, generated questions, your answers, scores, time taken, result history and related learning information so that Mockify can generate tests, display results and maintain your history.

Feedback and support information

If you submit feedback or a bug report, we may collect the message, category and any attachment you choose to provide.

Technical and usage information

We may process technical information such as IP address, browser/device information, timestamps, session information, basic request logs and service-health or usage events. Some analytics information may be used in aggregated form to understand product usage and reliability.

2. How We Use Information

To create and maintain your Mockify account and authenticate you.
To send verification, account and service-related emails.
To generate mock tests, calculate scores and show explanations and history.
To provide support, troubleshoot bugs and respond to feedback.
To protect the service against abuse, fraud, unauthorized access and security threats.
To understand product performance, improve reliability and develop features.
To comply with applicable legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

3. AI-Generated Content

Mockify uses third-party AI infrastructure to generate questions and educational explanations. Information needed to produce the requested output may be transmitted to the AI service provider. Do not enter sensitive personal information into a topic prompt or feedback message unless it is necessary for your request.

4. Service Providers

We use third-party infrastructure providers to operate Mockify. Depending on the feature, these may include Google for authentication, Brevo for transactional email delivery, Groq for AI generation, Neon for database hosting, Render for application hosting, and Cloudflare for DNS and related infrastructure. These providers may process information on our behalf as necessary to provide their services.

5. Cookies, Sessions and Similar Technologies

Mockify uses browser storage and server sessions as necessary to keep you signed in, protect authenticated actions and remember limited application state. We may also use standard technical mechanisms required to operate the website securely and reliably.

6. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain account and result history, support security, resolve disputes and satisfy legal or operational requirements. Retention periods may differ by data type and purpose. Where information is no longer required, we may delete or anonymize it subject to applicable obligations and legitimate operational needs.

7. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights relating to access, correction, deletion, withdrawal of consent, grievance redressal and other controls over personal data. You may contact us using the details below to make a privacy request. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

For users in India, Mockify intends to handle personal data in a manner consistent with applicable Indian data-protection requirements, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and applicable rules as they come into force.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect personal information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, and you should use a strong password and protect access to your email and account.

9. Third-Party Links and Services

Mockify may contain links to third-party websites such as LinkedIn or Google. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices. Mockify is not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties outside our control.

10. Children

Mockify is intended for general educational use and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information improperly, please contact us.

11. International Processing

Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where this occurs, processing is subject to the providers’ applicable safeguards and contractual or legal requirements.

We may update this Privacy Policy as Mockify evolves. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy to the extent permitted by law.
